Bruce’s gently provocative insights
This page explains why I am doing a blog. Click here to visit the posts.
In 2010, when I was considering a return to political work, I spoke with the job bank manager at a think tank. He told me that if I didn’t have my own blog to share and promote my ideas, I was all washed up.
At that point, I made the conscious decision to be washed up. I had no interest in self-promotion and felt I had nothing important to say to the world.
But in 2025, after a decade of involvement with global Christianity, a period of prayerful reflection led me to a different conclusion. I felt that God had positioned me to support global Christian leaders by sharing timely, useful, high-quality information and encouragement, at no charge.
Since the blog started in January 2025, I have maintained a consistent schedule of posts: issues in global Christianity on Mondays, spiritual matters on Fridays, and bonus posts when warranted (usually on Wednesdays). Many of the posts include interviews with Christian leaders and experts all over the world.
If you haven’t subscribed already, please do and encourage others to do so. Posts are generally quite short (around 500 words), sometimes with Q&A sections for those who want to read more. Nobody will force you to read every one. The more subscribers I have, the easier it is to get busy people to respond to me.
